The purple side wasn’t as lucky, but they went over and saw the yellow side’s tree.  Yesterday the MAC room went to Red Oak Nature Center to tap maple trees.  The yellow side was able to get lots of sap from their maple tree.  After our discussion with Miss Pam, it was time to head outside!  When we arrived, Miss Pam was waiting for us in the nature center.  She explained to us how we would be tapping the trees.  Boy, was the sap dripping from the spial!!!  She also told us how the sap rises from the trunk of the tree to the branches.  This is the only time of the year that maple trees can be tapped in our area.  We divided up by purple and yellow sides.  It was a great trip!
