Grizzly eNews 2-27-26

Principal’s Message:

The volunteers have worked hard to prepare for one of our biggest community celebrations of the year – The GMS Fun Fair.  Thanks goes out to all who have made this possible.  As a friendly reminder, please be kind to our neighbors and keep everyone within our community safe by following all posted traffic and parking signs.  I look forward to seeing everyone very soon.

~Principal Jeff Modaff

We do our best to make the PTO Website THE place for GMS parents to go for all PTO related information. Whether you are looking to check when your club meets next, sign up to volunteer for an event, see when the next dining out fundraiser takes place, submit a receipt for reimbursement, or access the school directory, the PTO website is the place to look first! Please visit www.gmspto.org and check back often for new information!

Roller Skating in PE

We will begin roller skating on March 5th. Please remember to send in helmets with your child’s name clearly marked if you would like for them to wear it. I will have wrist guards for all students to wear for this unit. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Gamlin.

Grizzly Running Club Spring Edition

Are you a fourth or fifth grade student who loves to run or just be active? Then, the Grizzly Running Club is just for you!

The Grizzly Running Club will be meeting before school Monday and Fridays, starting on March 20th. We will begin at 8:00 and go until 8:45. We will be meeting for 8 practices. Our culminating event will be a Flash Mob 5K along the River Walk Sunday, April 26th. This is an optional event and not required for joining. If you and your child would like to join us please join us by signing up though our google form linked.

The Grizzly Running Club is coached by Mrs. Gamlin and Mr. Clarey. Runners will need to come ready to run in comfortable and weather appropriate clothing. Runners can bring a water bottle.

Please note that if your child is also participating in Chorus they will do so on Mondays practices. They then can join us on Friday for our run. Please fill out this form so we can plan on how many students will be running with us on March 20th.

Stay Connected

Please check the DIRECTORY to be sure YOUR FAMILY information is correct! Parents use this for play dates and birthday invites! This does need to be updated every year to change your child(s) teacher.

Visit the PTO website to search the student directory, view the school activity calendar, sign up to volunteer, or purchase tickets to the next PTO event. Download the Membership Toolkit app for easy access!

Casey’s Rewards Points

Our school is participating in Cash for Classrooms, part of Casey’s Rewards. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket.
