Principal’s Message:
The week started out with some great fun as students who won the raffle at Friday night’s Fun Fair tossed whipped cream pies at their favorite staff members. It turned messy very fast, but led to big smiles and tons of laughter.
Maybe not as fun, but certainly important, the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) will be taken by all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders during the week of March 16th. Teachers will send out schedules and reminders as the date gets closer. Students have been gearing up for these big tests with some practice, especially in writing and we know they will do great. You got this, Grizzlies!

Roller Skating in PE
We began roller skating on March 5th. Please remember to send in helmets with your child’s name clearly marked if you would like for them to wear it. I will have wrist guards for all students to wear for this unit. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Gamlin.
Grizzly Running Club Spring Edition
Are you a fourth or fifth grade student who loves to run or just be active? Then, the Grizzly Running Club is just for you!
The Grizzly Running Club will be meeting before school Monday and Fridays, starting on March 20th. We will begin at 8:00 and go until 8:45. We will be meeting for 8 practices. Our culminating event will be a Flash Mob 5K along the River Walk Sunday, April 26th. This is an optional event and not required for joining. If you and your child would like to join us please join us by signing up though our google form linked.
The Grizzly Running Club is coached by Mrs. Gamlin and Mr. Clarey. Runners will need to come ready to run in comfortable and weather appropriate clothing. Runners can bring a water bottle.
Please note that if your child is also participating in Chorus they will do so on Mondays practices. They then can join us on Friday for our run. Please fill out this form so we can plan on how many students will be running with us on March 20th.
