Grizzly eNews 5-3-24

Principal’s Message:

We are very proud of the growth all of our Grizzly Running Club participants made this year.  Some of them showed off their endurance recently in the Batavia Mothers’ Club Fox Trot 5K with Mr. Clarey and Mrs. Gamlin.  Way to go!

It’s hard to believe that all of our students are heading to a different finish line – the end of the school year.  Before we get to that time of celebration there is plenty of work still to do.  Next week, students will take the Spring NWEA MAP test.  We look forward to seeing growth in our students’ reading and math skills.  Parents, please partner with us by giving your child the advantage of a good night’s rest and a healthy breakfast on the day of testing (of course, that is good all of the other days too!)

Looking forward to an exciting 3 weeks of the school year together!

Walk, Bike & Roll to school is May 8 – We need 4 volunteers!

In addition to students who usually walk or bike, buses will drop off at Tanglewood Clubhouse and students will walk from there to GMS. To ensure the safety of all, we need 4 more parent volunteers along the sidewalk and at the bike rack. If you’re available 8:30-9 am, sign up here.

Mark your calendars – Outdoor Ed Day is coming!

Outdoor Education Day is a great opportunity for the kids to get outdoors, learn, explore, play, and create!  This all-school event takes place on Friday, May 17th and needs a team of volunteers and staff to make it a great experience.

If you’re interested in assisting and being a volunteer, please CLICK HERE to check out the opportunities available.  Contact outdoored@gmspto.org with any questions.
