Principal’s Message:
Our 4th grade boys were showing some great community spirit today. Just after this photo was taken, they started up their daily football game and had a great time among friends. It is always great to see our students having fun and showing good sportsmanship out at recess.
I wanted to send out a quick reminder about dismissal. If you park in our main lot during dismissal, please pull backward and not forward. When you pull through the stalls, you are driving over a crosswalk. It is difficult to see small children behind parked cars in that crosswalk. Thanks for helping to keep all students and families safe during this busy time of the day.
As a reminder, we do not have school on Monday in honor of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

ART APPRECIATION VOLUNTEERS
We are still looking for a few art appreciation volunteers! If you are currently signed up and would be willing to take on one of these classes as well so that all students have the opportunity to have the experience, that would be most appreciated! AUDIT COMMITTEE
The PTO Board is looking for 2-3 individuals who would be willing to serve on our audit committee. The audit committee reviews our financials from last year to provide transparency with the community about our funds and how they are being spent. If you are interested in learning more about this role, please email president@gmspto.org. We would like to begin the audit in September and have something to share with the board at the October or November meeting, based on the availability of the team.
WALK-A-THON
Our bi-annual walk-a-thon is coming September 26th! More information can be found HERE on the PTO Website. EVERY student will receive a t-shirt on the day of Walk-a-thon. We encourage volunteers to order a shirt, but not required. If you would like to order one for yourself, you can do so on the PTO website HERE.
